Click the Book a Trip tab to reserve. 2:00pm the day before is the cut off for next day travel. Call centre hours are daily, 8:00am-5:00pm.

Arrive at the bus stop on time

Be at the pick-up location 15-20 minutes prior to departure. Buses are on a schedule and are unable to wait for passengers who are late. If you miss your bus, you’ll have to reschedule your reservation. Refunds are not available if you miss the pick-up time.


If you must cancel your ticket, please do so 24 hours in advance to receive a full refund. If BC Bus North must cancel your trip, reservations will be refunded. Please note we’ve implemented a special cancellation policy due to Coronavirus concerns. If you wish to cancel within the 24 hour notice period, we’ll allow you to cancel and offer a credit for future travel.


This is an independent service with no connections or transferability to other bus service.

Ticket Vendors

Tickets are purchased by phone or online. If you want to use your debit card, phone the call centre to make arrangements. At this time, there are no retail outlets, offices or physical addresses at which to purchase tickets.


Customers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, or by an adult companion with written permission to accompany them. For more information, please contact the call centre at 1-844-564-7494.

Pets on Board

Assistance animals that are certified, under the Guide Dog and Service Dog Act, are allowed on BC Bus North at all times. If you have an assistance animal, please call to make your reservation and let the agent know that you will be travelling together. You may be asked to produce your Guide Animal Certificate. No other pets are permitted.

Food and Beverages

To keep buses clean and safe, any food or drink you bring on board must be in a closed container that is spill-proof. Coffee and other beverages can be consumed on board provided the beverage is carried in a sturdy container with a lid that will prevent the liquid from spilling. Open alcohol is not permitted on the bus.  If transporting alcohol, it must be stored in the lower luggage compartment and be packaged appropriately.

Strollers must be collapsed and stored in the lower luggage compartment.


Bicycles checked into baggage must be bagged or boxed. No other bicycles are permitted.

Government of BC Bus Pass Program

The annual BC Bus Pass Program, offered by the Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction is not valid fare for travel on BC Bus North routes.

Flagging the Bus

Flagging the bus is not permitted. Reservations are required for travel on BC Bus North.


To keep you safe, please sit. No standees are permitted on BC Bus North.

Delays and Detours

For updates on delays and detours, call the call centre. If you provide your mobile phone number when you book your travel, we will do our best to call and notify of any delays or detours.

No Smoking

Provincial tobacco laws (The Tobacco Control Act) prohibit smoking on buses at all times and within 6 metres (20 feet) of the bus. Electronic cigarettes are also not permitted on buses.


Passengers can bring one carry-on and up to two pieces of checked luggage.

Carry-on Bag:
Must be equivalent in size to an airline carry-on: no bigger than 51 cm x 23 cm x 40 cm (20” long x 9” wide x 16” high).
Must be able to be safely stowed either in the overhead compartment or under a seat.

Checked Luggage:
Each piece must be no bigger than 61 cm x 114 cm x 61 cm (24” long x 45” wide x 24” high)
Each piece must not weigh more than 23 kg. (50 lb.)
Please tag your checked luggage with your name and contact information.

No household moving or explosives are permitted.


All buses are equipped with washroom facilities.
